Today is the 50th anniversary of Camilo and Maria da Luz. What a milestone! Many congratulations!!
There will be a mass in Fatima, lunch with suckling pig, and a few glasses of good wine. We join you in spirit from Mumbai.

Still a Dutch girl

The house where Melissa now stays is further on the campus from the courts and the school (more than half an hour walking, it is a big campus). Although there is a tram and golf carts are driving around, as a real Dutch girl (with an American accent) she prefers to do that by bike!

Manatee County

Bradenton is part of Manatee County, and Manatee County is more or less Bradenton (and Bradenton is by the way not so much more than Nick Bolletteiri's academy ...). I had no idea what a manatee is (in Dutch we call these animals zeekoeien - "sea cows") and always thought you would only find them in the Indian Ocean. But, Melissa is living in Sea Cow County!

Melissa is back again in Bradenton. Late Saturday evening we arrived the three at Tampa Airport and drove to Bradenton. Ivone and I liked very much to see the academy and the school; we saw more tennis courts in one day than ever before in our lives ... Melissa is now living in a very nice villa on the campus (they call it APV - Academy Park Villas) as you can see on the pictures.

20 in NYC

Sorry for the late post, but we were traveling and had not earlier an opportunity.
Friday August 27 we celebrated Camila's 20th birthday in ... NYC!! We had a great day, loved to be all together and enjoyed the city (perhaps even more than we expected).

Delivered

Camila has started this week at ... Her subjects for the first semester are: Italian, Theater (great differentiation, like breathing techniques and writing), and English poetry. Every Friday she "has" to go New York City for workshops with international artists and in the evening she has to visit performances, a real punishment ...
