Queen's Day 2010

Today is Koninginnedag, Queen's Day. In the streets of Mumbai there were a lot of festivities to show the Indian adoration of the Dutch royal family, everywhere orange flags. Tonight we went to the reception of the Consul General of The Netherlands on the rooftop of the Trident Hotel. A very pleasant evening, lots of fun, music, and food.

Singing

The American School of Bombay has lots of activities this week. Last Wednesday there was a very nice performance of the many choirs the school has in St. Andrew's Auditorium. Camila is part of the highschool choir.

The superintendent of the American School in Bombay is leaving. The reception was at the American Consulate General and required Indian attire.

Swimming @ Breach Candy

Close to our home is the Breach Candy Club at Warden Road. It has the largest swimming pool of India and Ivone is already sometime headed for membership. Last Thursday she had her interviews with the membership committee (yes, this is serious business). Hopefully she can start swimming next week!

Good results

Last year we booked good results with IDBI Fortis! Top line was very nice, bottom line as well. Last months we introduced some interesting new products in the Indian market (pictures below from newspapers when we introduced Incomesurance at press conferences). Our yearend is 31th March and always has an enormous inflow peak, my teams did a great job in managing the load! Now we are closing the books and will be proud to present the results to our board. That meeting was planned to take place in Brussels at Fortis, but is rescheduled for Mumbai. Too much Icelandic ash in the air ...

Spectacular, Spectacular, More Than Spectacular!

Tonight was the performance of Camila's stage production of the Moulin Rouge. It was more than SPECTACULAR. Stunning, entertaining, funny, and a very enthusiastic crowd! Camila wrote, directed, and produced the whole show. She played one of the main characters. And it seems that in the end they even raised money for a good purpose. Many congratulations!
