Gate 41

Today Maria da Luz and Camilo travelled back to Portugal. The last four months they spent with us in Hong Kong, we travelled to Macau, China (Beijing and Xi'An), and Thailand. And of course we saw a lot in Hong Kong. We had a great time with the Milos here, and sure they had a great time as well. Tomorrow we know their experiences on the flight back home! Have a good trip.

Diving

During our stay in Thailand Melissa and I did a diving course. After four days heavy training (also in theory!) we were certified as Open Water Divers at Mermaids Diving Centre in Pattaya. Though stable floating in the water is not yet that easy for me, Melissa is a natural talent.

Our first dives were great (Koh Man Wichai) and call for a lot more! The picture is on the boat to Koh Man Wichai.

May and Ronald visited us

During our stay in Pattaya, Mai and Ronald came over from the East of Thailand, where they spent their holidays with Mai's family. A car trip of 11 hours... A lot of Mai's family joined in the trip and we learned a lot more of Thailand, Thai and Thai food. Great to see Mai and Ronald!

Christmas in Thailand

Yesterday evening we returned from 9 days in Thailand; we spent our Christmas holidays in Pattaya. The weather was great and the hotel just in front of Jomtien Beach. We enjoyed it!

Christmas we had a "traditional" dinner with turkey (of course we had to miss at Cristmas Eve the even more traditional bacalhau..), the rest of the time we lavished ourselves with great Thai food.

These two Portuguese beauties were enjoying the beach life.
